The Board of Trustees of the
American Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club Charitable Trust (The
Trust) administers all Grants submitted to The Trust. The Board of
Trustees will review all the application proposals for the grants,
take a vote (2/3 majority vote required to approve) and make their
recommendation to the Treasurer of The Trust on management of the
funds granted. From time to time, the names of grant applicants may
be withheld from the Board of Trustees by the Chairman of the Board
of The Trust so as to provide an unbiased evaluation of proposals.
Using the following point values, the Board of Trustees will
numerically rate each proposal to a maximum score of 100:
1. Relevance of topic (30)
2. Project design and presentation (30)
3. Ability of the applicant (20)
4. Need for financial assistance (20)
Individual ratings of the
Board of Trustees will be combined by the Board Chairman of The
Trust who will then select the grantees for each category with the
highest scores. If, no worthwhile application proposals are
received, no grant or grants will be awarded that year.
